About Me
Hello everyone, my name is Doug Russell and I am the owner of Doug's Barley Straw. Below you will find a little information about me and this business. Thank you for reading.
I grew up on a beautiful farm outside of Pemberville, Ohio. During high school I became actively involved in FFA (Future Farmers of America). For my SAE (Supervised Agriculture Experience) project I planted and grew barley for the purpose of selling the straw to pond and water garden owners. The project was so successful that I carried the business on after high school and into college.
My interests have led me to The Ohio State University where I am currently a senior majoring in Agri-business and Applied Economics. Even though I am away at school, I am still running the business with the help of my family at home.
